The Classic Bike Show raised £1,600. There was a record turnout with 86 Classic Bikes on show for the visitors to enjoy.
Graham Wilkinson and Colin Pawson judged the 8 classes and nominated their Best in Show, Colin Cooper’s 1976 Honda CB750 K6, Colin has owned the Bike for over 20 years and uses it regularly. He is pictured below receiving his award from Ian Livingstone, Club Chairman.
In its 17th year, the Show is one of many Charity events run by the Club throughout the year to raise money for its nominated Charities, Manorlands Hospice, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Cellar Trust, all of whom have helped Club Members over the years. It is likely that over £2000 will be distributed this year. Many local Companies and Club members have provided raffle prizes and the Club thanks them all for their support. Our Host, Gary Bailey at the Bronte, makes a significant contribution as well as keeping the visitors well fed and watered. The overhead picture below, arranged by Gary, shows the event in action.
